Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to handle high-volume transactional work with precision and accuracy. This long-term contract role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accountability. The position is based in Willis, Texas, and offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Accurately reconcile thousands of transactions on a weekly basis.

Ensure all receipts and transactions are coded properly to their respective categories.

Upload receipts and manage spend activity using Ramp, a spend management tool.

Communicate with field personnel to collect missing receipts and resolve coding issues.

Perform repetitive coding tasks with a focus on ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Build strong relationships with field personnel to streamline transaction processes.

Gradually take on project costing and general and administrative (G& A) coding responsibilities.

Utilize NetSuite and Ramp for effective spend management and reconciliation.

Maintain structured reports and data in alignment with spend categories.

Support construction industry-specific coding practices when applicable. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable coding or transaction-based processing.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling high-volume transactions.

Proficiency in managing repetitive tasks with a strong focus on reliability and accountability.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry and reconciliation purposes.

Familiarity with spend management tools like Ramp, Bill.com, or Concur.

Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with field personnel.

Experience in the construction industry or project-based coding is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting systems is a plus.
