JOB SUMMARY:
This position's primary responsibility is to monitor and support franchise system activity and respond to a variety of strategic franchise-related data requests from the Sr. Manager, National Franchise Sales Manager, Operations, Franchise Attorneys, outside counsel and 7-Eleven senior management. In addition, this position will also be responsible for supporting franchise compliance initiatives. Support will include developing compliance related processes, communication, reporting, and on-going problem solving. The role will backfill current analyst support role.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Support daily and monthly reporting specific to franchise strategic initiatives.
Focus on agreement compliance initiatives - as the Organization pivots to focus on stores meeting and upgrading brand standards.
Manage communication and implementation with various Departments and Leaders supporting compliance initiatives to gain alignment, methodology, and assumptions.
Creates reporting that will support strategy as well as compliance initiatives - both permanent reporting as well as ad hoc reporting.
Proactively challenges the status quo by introducing new analysis and insights.
Develops, maintains, and periodically issues franchise related reports for 7-Eleven senior management, field operations (Market Managers, Directors, & Vice Presidents), franchise attorneys, outside legal counsel, Headquarters Franchise Department staff and field franchise sales staff as well as Accounting Departments.
Develops and maintains various franchise sales activity reports to assist the Franchise Sales Managers - specific to sales activity and deliverables.
Attends various meetings, telephone, and videoconferences along with other members of the Headquarters Franchise Department with the field franchise sales staff, legal and Franchise Market Managers and Division Vice Presidents.
Creates and maintains SOPs - Standard Operating Procedures - documenting Dept. processes.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years
YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
PC and mainframe databases or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Oracle, Excel, Word, Power Point and Access
Must have accounting and analytical skills and have ability to conduct independent research
Experience with Power BI is a plus.
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Innovation:
Position will be frequently involved in creating and improving methods or procedures originated by others and addressing moderately complex issues. For example, recommend improvements to current processes, and/or monthly reports created for Leadership. Also, develop new processes to support franchise agreement compliance.
Decisions:
Position regularly makes decisions covered by general methods and procedures. Frequent interpretations are required. Formulates and recommends solutions for complex processes. For example, recommend new ways to collect information, modify current system and suggest improvements to franchise system processes or agreement compliance issues processes.
Good decisions, ideas and process improvements contribute to the successful completion of a group of tasks within the Headquarters Franchise Department. For example, process improvement suggestions reduce the time required to produce reports and increase departmental productivity. Accurate report data facilitate decisions regarding changes to the overall franchise system. These decisions have legal and operational impacts.
Planning:
Position plans and coordinates own work and manages projects on a frequent basis.
Contacts:
Contact employees within the department to exchange or deliver information and to coordinate activities. Also exchanges or delivers report information to employees and managers in other departments and senior management including Vice Presidents of Accounting, Operations, and Franchise. Produces information in reports that are delivered indirectly to the CEO and 7-Eleven Japan.
Consultative Contacts:
Coordinates with managers in other departments during the annual budgeting process. Makes recommendations to the Manager, Franchise Analysis Systems, regarding improvements to overall franchise system existing processes and reports produced.
