Must be open to working either 2nd or 3rd Shift ( 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am)

I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

A. To assist the Operator and Assistant Operator in the setup & operate when necessary any piece of equipment to run a corrugated box to meet customer specifications

II. SAFETY PROCEDURES:

A. Read and understand SAFETY RULES & HOUSEKEEPING GUIDELINES and receive training in proper operating procedures

B. Receive instructions in the following;

Lockout procedures Hearing protection Safety shoes Moving machinery All stop buttons All nip points Conveyor safety

Lifting and pushing/pulling

Safety guards, gates & chains

III. HOUSEKEEPING:

A. Perform daily clean up of area

B. Dump trash as needed

C. Perform extra clan up during downtime

D. Follow cleaning schedule listed in Safety Manual

E. Keep scrap picked up

IV. MANUFACTURING PROCESS:

A. Read & use Factory Order & Print Card to determine proper

equipment settings

B. Ability to know if equipment is operating properly

C. Ability to :

Set stacker Install dies, attachments & printing plates Set pull rolls, collars & straps Set scores, heads & blade combinations Set Prefeeder & Lead Edge Feeder Check stock for correct size Adjust equipment for proper pressures & register Operate glue and ink systems Set folding rails, squaring section & ejector

V. EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

A. Flexo Folder Gluer equipment

B. Computer input terminal

C. Quality test equipment

VI. QUALITY:

A. Perform the following quality checks:

1st piece dimensional checks 1st piece print quality checks Random checks during run for dimensions & print Ink color & viscosity 1st piece visual check - fold box complete

B. If major problem- shut machine down & notify supervisor

VII. COMMUNICATION:

A. Push interrupt buttons

B. Verbal

C. Hand signals

VIII. EDUCATIONAL TRAINING:

A. Ability to read and do basic math

B. Ability to read a tape measure
