The Campground Clerk role involves assisting incoming campers with reservations, directions and answering questions, as well as making reservations utilizing the Park Reservation and Revenue System. In addition to these responsibilities, both clerks will provide support to other clerical staff within the park, assisting with a diverse range of administrative tasks essential for the smooth operation of a large park complex and the Computerized Reservation/Revenue System. If you are interested in joining our team, we encourage you to apply now!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will serve as the main point of contact for the public at the pool ticket booth, ensuring compliance with the Cash Management Policy at all times. Your responsibilities will include processing payments from visitors and accurately recording transactions using either a laptop or cash register. You will be expected to follow established money handling protocols, which involve maintaining a precise cash drawer and utilizing a drop safe as outlined in the procedures. Additionally, you will keep thorough records through daily forms, printed receipts, or cash register tapes, and adhere to the designated procedures for both opening and closing the pool ticket booth. It will be essential to keep the Park Manager informed about all relevant activities occurring at the pool ticket booth and within the pool area.
In your capacity as a Clerical Assistant 1, you will work at the park office, campground contact station, and pool ticket booth, providing visitors with essential park information and facilitating access to park facilities. You will also be responsible for accepting and processing reservations for cottages, yurts, camping sites, pavilions, and group camping through the State Park's Computerized Reservation System. This includes calculating fees, receiving payments, processing refunds, issuing permits, and managing revenue accounting and bank deposits. You will need to resolve any conflicts related to computerized stays with minimal supervision and generate reports to ensure accuracy.
Furthermore, you will be tasked with preparing and issuing mooring agreements for the park's mooring spaces, boat racks, and dry storage areas. This involves maintaining accurate mooring records, calculating fees, processing payments and refunds, and sending out agreements, notices, and correspondence to mooring patrons. You will also manage waiting lists, assist with application completion, and address any questions regarding procedures. Additionally, you will issue launch permits, collect associated fees, and maintain comprehensive records.
