Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join a dynamic law firm in Miami, Florida. This is a Contract position ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented and focused environment. The role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage the firm's calendar, ensuring deadlines and appointments are accurately scheduled.

Organize and save legal documents within the firm's document management system.

Coordinate court reporters, couriers, and other necessary services.

Witness and facilitate document signings as required.

Prepare basic legal pleadings, such as requests for extension of time, and draft cover letters for clients.

Process typing and documentation requests submitted by attorneys.

Schedule depositions, appointments, and other legal meetings.

Handle phone operations and communication with clients and colleagues.

Ensure all tasks are performed with a high level of attention to detail and care. Requirements - Proficiency in e-filing and managing legal calendars.

Experience preparing legal pleadings and related documents.

Strong organizational skills for scheduling appointments and depositions.

Ability to effectively operate phone systems and handle communications with attention to detail.

Familiarity with document management systems and saving legal files.

Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Attentive demeanor and adherence to appropriate business attire standards.

Punctuality and reliability in meeting workplace expectations.
