The Digital Marketing Group Manager will be responsible for setting and driving the digital strategy, planning and daily execution of content marketing activities to drive awareness and engagement of HCPs and patients across the entire Structural Heart business unit. To do this, this team member will maintain a broad understanding of Abbott's capabilities and technologies in digital marketing, as well as the latest trends in emerging media and digital channels and make recommendations on how to optimize our presence in these channels. The team member will focus on digital content strategy, planning, creation, deployment, and optimization. This role will work with corporate teams, cross-divisional marketing organizations, product teams and lead key agency relationships to create and maintain editorial and campaign calendars to ensure the objectives of Abbott's digital content marketing programs are met through online, social, mobile, and email channels.
This role can reside in Structural Heart (SH) headquarters in Santa Clara, California or in Plymouth, Minnesota and will be expected to work closely with the Global Marketing leadership team.
What You Will Do
Leads and executes the development of content marketing planning and execution capabilities across web, online media, social, mobile, and email.
Defines the roadmap for division content management tools and processes.
Serves as the in-house SME for digital content marketing including following corporate governance/compliance, setting divisional content strategy, receiving necessary content approvals as well providing input for design, SEO, and relevant analytics.
Develops and manages templates, assets, and best-practices content development and deployment across the digital ecosystem that results in maximum engagement with segmented audiences.
Plans and executes inbound content marketing campaigns (sometimes directly and sometimes with the operational support of agencies) in support of business strategy utilizing best practices from across our industry and beyond.
Derives actionable insight from analytics tools to constantly test and optimize our content; include A/B testing when applicable.
Possesses deep practical knowledge of these tools, concepts and methodologies within a regulated industry, preferably Medical Device or related healthcare sector.
Works closely with internal digital peers to ensure governance and platform alignment.
Owns digital agency, media agency and other vendor relationships that apply to content creation and deployment.
Influences and educates stakeholders on digital best practices and insights.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
8+ years of marketing experience with strong digital emphasis.
3+ years creating and executing digital strategies/content dev for web, paid, social, and email within med device/healthcare.
Experience in both the HCP and DTC markets.
Experience with marketing automation/CRM - Marketo preferred.
Experience working with content management systems and experience working with technical team members (i.e. business analysts, IT and developers) to execute web projects.
Experience executing analytics projects or working in close collaboration with an analytics team (knowledge of Google Analytics, and other analytics programs).
Strong writing, proofing and editing skills within the digitally focused environment including the ability to create shareable content.
Possess thorough understanding of the digital space as it relates to: principles of digital customer experience/UX design, management of digital assets including meta data; social media; paid search and SEO best practices.

The base pay for this position is $148,700.00 - $297,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
