Description

Responsible for assisting the Office Manager in various aspects of office operations; participating with the Office Manager in establishing specific goals for the department; determining work procedures and expediting work flow; insuring department compliance with all operating policies and procedures; directly supervising assigned personnel; communicating with appropriate personnel; providing periodic reports.

Essential Duties

Regular attendance is required and will vary by position. For your specific schedule and hours, please discuss with your supervisor or division head. These hours are determined at the beginning of the year by your supervisor and are submitted to HR on teh Budgeted Hours report. Based on need, the Bank does reserve the right to adapt at any point.

Assists the Branch Executive Officer in various aspects of office operations as follows:

Identifies lending opportunities and follows through with requests which includes: using sound judgement in making loans; completion of standard loan application; compilation of all decision making data; obtaining appropriate approval for lending decisions; closing loan with all complliant loan documentation and collateral support protection; administers office loan portfolio by assisting in the collection of delinquent accounts and communicating collection and recovery activities to customers.

Performs various Human Resource duties, i.e., scheduling, time cards, performance appraisals, grievance resoltion, etc.

Provides on-the-job training to Head Tellers and/or CSR/Head Tellers.

Assists with branch quality incentives, incentive plans, etc.

Provides authorization for loans under applicable lending authority and new accounts as needed.

In the absence of the Manager, makes certain that all office operations are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, either directly or through appropriate supervisor, e.g., office balancing, control of vault cash, etc.

In the absence of the Manager, provides for the proper security, maintenance, and cleanliness of the office; supervises the opening and closing of the building and vault; makes necessary provisions for the securing and accounting of negotiable papers.

Directs the staff in areas of quality customer service via regular individual feedback and informational staff meetings.

Meets loan and deposit goals for the Office as established by the Bank's budget.

Greets and serves customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

Maintains an awareness of new business opportunities with customers; actively refers customers to appropriate customer service personnel.

Prepares reports relating to the function, e.g. currency transaction, etc.

Maintains supplies and an awareness of Teller supply inventory control.

Prepares consumer residential mortgage loans, including attending settlements.

Enforces practice of adherence to know the customer, Bank Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy, and Bank Privacy Policy.

Images own work to go to the Operations Department.

Participates with the Manager in establishing specific goals for the department; implements strategies to achieve these goals.

Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites work flow.

Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote and environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the organization's compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Directly supervises assigned personnel as follows:

Assists in the selection of new personnel as appropriate.

Makes provisions for the proper orientation and training of new personnel; trains new personnel as required.

Reviews employee performance throughout the probationary period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter.

Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel.

Keeps personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the unit and/or their jobs; creates and atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged.

Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by organization policy.

Communicates with the Manager, other unit supervisors, and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate activities.

Provides timely reporting to the Manager and other appropriate groups or individuals.

Ancillary Duties

Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Requirements

Education/Training: B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field normally required; specialized business education and training. NMLS licensing may be required.

Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations, communicative and sales skills; proficient PC skills; a thorough knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact consumer services; a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank consumer products and services; demonstrated management and supervisory skills; visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a related position normally required.
