Job Description Summary
As the Director of Supply Chain Programs Centre of Excellence (CoE), you'll be responsible for leading and orchestrating all programs that support the Planning & Materials management transformation. Your role involves orchestrating complex programs, fostering cross-functional collaboration, implementing change management strategies, and leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.
With a focus on continuous improvement, you drive innovation and communicate transparently with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your leadership is pivotal in transforming the supply chain into a strategic asset creating extraordinary value to our customers, patients, shareholders, and teams. You will work closely with stakeholders from Segments, Regions, IT, Finance, Master data and their respective leadership teams to deliver program objectives though a community of practices.
You will report to the Executive Director of Global Planning & Materials Management COE. You will be part of Global Planning & Material Management Center of Excellence team who is part of Global Planning and Services department at GE Healthcare.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership and Program Management:
Lead planning and execution of complex/cross-functional Operations and Supply Chain programs.
Establish strong relationships with cross-functional partners for supply chain excellence.
Establish effective Operating Mechanisms with key stakeholders for strategic decision-making.
Manage through strong influence skills across all supply chain functions.
Lead, energize, and influence change efforts at all levels of a complex organization.
Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members throughout the transformation process.
Change Management and Transformation:
Develop and implement change management strategies for successful adoption of supply chain and digital initiatives.
Support strategy development and deployment for complex Supply Chain, Supply Management, and Manufacturing Network Operations Programs.
Work with multiple parallel Supply Chain transformation projects, including process harmonization.
Identify and capture synergy opportunities.
Project Management and Execution:
Hands-on experience managing cross-functional projects across businesses, sites, or regions.
Expertise in best-in-class program leadership, management, and governance.
Create business cases supporting change and driving efficiency.
Monitor and report on the progress of transformation initiatives, making necessary adjustments.
Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones and targets achievement.
Work with project teams to identify risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
Track and report project progress, including data analysis and findings presentation.
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness (e.g., cost reduction, process improvement, technology implementation).
Create a pipeline of opportunities to improve Global Supply Chain metrics (e.g., Inventory, Back Order, Logistics Costs, OTD).
Drive process definitions and transformation by using 'fact-based' and lean methodologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current business processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as an internal consultant to different supply chain functions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure they are informed of project plans, progress, and outcomes.
Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, promoting a culture of innovation and creativity.
Training and User Adoption:
Develop training programs, educational guides, and materials for user adoption of new systems and processes.
Developing expertise in own function by understanding of industry trends and best practices.
Identify and develop supply chain transformation strategies aligning with organizational goals.
Qualifications and requirement
Master's degree in supply chain, business management, engineering or equivalent
Significant practical experiences with Supply Chain transformation in Integral Business Planning, S&OP/ SIOP, S&OE areas, coupled with the ability to navigate high levels of complexity in both business and system dynamics.
Strong experiences in project management in large matrix organizations.
Practitioner of LEAN tools for business transformation.
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate (team player) and lead others (without direct reporting)
Proven ability to influence effectively cross-culturally/geographically in a large global, matrix organization.
Clear communicator - the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Experience in managing organizational change/transformations.
Experience in managing deployment of advanced planning AI systems.
Willing to travel internationally up to 20% of time.
Desired skills
Strong utilization of LEAN tools in daily and project work
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Practical experiences with usage of systems, like ORCO, SAP, Power BI, Kinaxis etc.
Experience with system upgrades and migrations is a plus.
