UW Medical Center - Montlake has a leadership opportunity for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing their career as an Assistant Nurse Manager .
Come work with an interdisciplinary team of neonatologists, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, respiratory care practitioners, pharmacists, nutritionists, other health professionals and parents as members of a baby's healthcare team. Under general direction by the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager utilizes the nursing process to prioritize, delegate, and provide safe, therapeutic allocation of nursing resources to patients. The ANM makes independent judgements, decisions, and acts on a wide range of routine and complex staffing and unit workflow issues.
UNIT DESCRIPTION
Our NICU cares for premature and critically ill newborn infants, born here at UWMC or transported in from outlying hospitals.
You will be caring for multiple births and micro preemies-babies bornasearly as22weeks'gestation.
As part of UW Medicine, the NICU has access to the most advanced neonatal research.
Our team has been instrumental in setting the standard for reducing risk of brain damage and lung problems in premature babies across the nation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead clinical practice, education, and management as delegated by and in collaboration with the nurse manager
Performchargenurse duties
Serve as a clinical resource for patient care and staff competency
Facilitate education, supervision, mentorship, and evaluation of staff
Provide feedback to staffregardingclinical, interpersonal, and communication performance
Promote delivery of quality nursing care
Assistwith ongoing unit daily operations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Participate in hospital wide committees

REQUIREMENTS
Have/obtain a WA RN license to practiceor MSL
Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing
Two or more years oflevel III or IVNICU nursing experience
Charge nurseexperience

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$102,408.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$187,896.00 annual
Other Compensation:
$10,000 Sign on bonus/ Relocation available
BSN or higher premium $1.00/hour
Certification premium $1.25/hour
Night shift differential $5.00/hour
Weekend shift differential $4.00/hour, Sunday Night premium $3.00/hour
