Job Description
Note: This is an interim position for 12 months. Position can be available part time as well as full time.
As Marketing Manager, you will be faced with a challenge to further grow our business in Netherlands and Belgium. Resources will be limited and will require taking some tough strategic decisions on key focus areas. Main goal - growing sell out and increasing market shares in cooperation with Regional Sales Manager. Your role will involve establishing solid, direct connections with key retailers and marketing associates in the region, all while ensuring a healthy, data-oriented operation that emphasizes both revenue and profitability.
Core responsibilities:
Create and execute a marketing strategy aimed at reaching sales and profit objectives set for the region.
Work with 3-6 month rolling marketing plans with all defined "Key Accounts", always with the focus on aligning the accounts in line with SteelSeries' goal of building a healthy and sell-out driven business.
Establish solid partnerships with various channel partners such as retailers, e-tailers, and distribution firms.
PR & Comms: Build and maintain relationships with local PR agencies and through them target media contacts in the region.
Content: help in adapting global content, which can be distributed through own channels and to local retailers/etailers to ensure a prominent brand presence among end-consumers.
Paid Media: Planning and execution of local paid media campaigns in cooperation with agencies and internal paid media department. Adapting global approach to local market or developing your own if needed.
Influencers: Build campaigns on a quarterly basis, with relevant influencers in the region, to increase brand awareness and promote sell-out with key accounts.
Develop a strong relationship with the Marketing Team in both the region and EMEA Services hub to ensure the coordination and implementation of local/regional marketing activities.
Provide market feedback on trends, opportunities, products, sales and other relevant developments.
Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate and availability for frequent meetings with key accounts, marketing teams, other important stakeholders and to attend key tradeshows, fairs and events.
Improve understanding of customer needs in the region and bring this knowledge to headquarters.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
2+ years of experience from a similar role within Consumer Electronics (or Gaming).
In-depth understanding of social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube.
Experience working with ecommerce platforms is highly beneficial.
Practical experience with key paid media platforms such as Meta, Google, and Amazon will be particularly beneficial.
Ability to use MS Excel on an intermediate level or higher.
Understanding and ability to implement premium brand positioning across all sales channels.
Having a deep engagement with the world of esports and gaming can be beneficial.
English and Dutch spoken and written fluently.
Personal characteristics
Primary duties include effective planning and analysis of market conditions. Tracking performance of both SteelSeries and competitive brands is essential. Key characteristics should involve a focus on analysis and a well-organized work process.
Proficiency in handling the fluctuating marketing terrain and an openness to adopting new technologies and ideas.
