This role provides leadership for District 1's operations to support a safe, efficient transportation system, while contributing to district-wide strategy and fostering a workplace where employees can do their best work. It also participates in the Administrative Management Group and statewide committees to help guide department priorities, services, and resource management. In addition, the position oversees key administrative functions in District 1, including human resources, finance, information systems, employee development, safety, labor relations, materials, and inventory.

Minimum Qualifications
In order to be considered qualified, the applicant must have:
Two years of managerial experience OR three years' professional supervisory experience OR four years advanced professional experience which demonstrates public or business administration in a large organization.
Experience must also demonstrate:
Abilitytomanage,direct,andguidethestaffofamulti-disciplinedDistrict/regionofastatewideorganization.
Financial forecasting and budgeting administration experience.
Knowledge of organizational development approaches including business planning, strategic staffing, team building/management, and problem identification and resolution techniques.

Preferred Qualifications
Managerial experience that includes responsibility to manage and allocate human, financial and other resources sufficient to successfully accomplish objectives of the unit or division.
A thorough knowledge of federal, state laws, regulations, and policies as they relate to District operations includingworker's compensation, ADA, FMLA, ACA, Wage Theft Law, fiscal and budget administration, information technology data management,andinventorymanagementprinciples.
