Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong understanding of accounting principles and payment systems.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, and payment approvals.

Accurately code and process invoices to ensure proper account allocation and compliance with company policies.

Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs to maintain smooth payment operations.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely vendor payments.

Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.

Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company procedures in all accounts payable activities.

Assist in streamlining and automating accounts payable workflows to improve efficiency.

Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers regarding payment status and inquiries.

Monitor and report on accounts payable metrics to support financial planning and decision-making. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.

Must know how to use Concur

Nice to have: Sage Intaact

Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including account coding and invoice handling.

Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial transactions.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for vendor and team interactions.

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.
