We're looking for an experienced Transmission & Distribution Construction Crew Leader who knows how to turn plans into power. In this role, you'll lead field crews building, maintaining, and upgrading overhead and underground T&D systems-setting the pace for safety, quality, and productivity on every job. You'll coordinate daily work activities, mentor crew members, and work closely with supervision to keep projects on schedule while meeting all regulatory and safety requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & CORE COMPETENCIES
Responsible for leading construction and maintenance crews to ensure the proper and safe completion of required work. Specific duties include leading staff, providing training, and contributing to and ensuring work is completed per specifications for the construction, operation, and maintenance of energized and de-energized transmission and distribution infrastructure. Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules and procedures as they apply to electrical equipment and systems. Responsible for completing and updating documentation associated with the maintenance of electrical systems to keep information organized and current, maintaining test equipment and using technology to complete work. This position may work overtime and/or odd hours during storm restoration, mutual aid, etc. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Leads staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, completing performance evaluations, monitoring employee performance, ensuring staff are trained, and making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations.
Directs all phases of the construction, operation, and maintenance of energized and de-energized network, overhead, and underground facilities and streetlights while ensuring the safety of themselves, peers, and the general public, in accordance with procedures, policies, practices, and safety rules.
Implements, reviews, and modifies maintenance or construction procedures, methods, or materials within guidelines to solve maintenance or construction problems.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work policies and processes, and work practices to increase efficiency, reliability, effectiveness, and customer service.

Ability to apply basic knowledge of OSHA, industry, and other safety requirements.
Ability to perform artificial respiration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, pole top rescue, CPR, and other emergency first aid.
Technical and mechanically inclined to operate, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, etc., of trade.
Reading blueprints and/or schematics.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in related field, and
Journeyman status and a minimum of one year of experience, 4 years preferred, in area of assignment, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
