The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the supervision of the Division Chief and Administrative Director, will serve as a key provider within the Department of Urology with a focus in Urologic Oncology. The NP will deliver comprehensive clinical care to oncology patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of complex care needs. In addition, the NP will oversee the Oncology Program by supervising Oncology RNs, leading quality improvement initiatives, and developing and maintaining program policies and standard operating procedures. The NP will function as the primary clinical lead for oncology-specific patient education, survivorship planning, and multidisciplinary care coordination to ensure excellence in patient outcomes and program growth. They will also have the opportunity to participate in research and clinical trials.ResponsibilitiesRepresent the Urology Division in oncology-related committees, initiatives, and institutional projects as assigned.Serve as the primary clinical lead for oncology-specific patient education, survivorship planning, and navigation of complex care needs.Monitor clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and workflow efficiency; report findings and implement corrective action plans as needed.Coordinate multidisciplinary care pathways, ensuring seamless integration of oncology services across physicians, APPs, nurses, and ancillary staff.Establish, maintain, and update policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Oncology Program to enhance patient safety, care consistency, and operational efficiency.Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives specific to oncology care, ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and national guidelines.Supervise Oncology Registered Nurses (RNs), providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and departmental standards.Oversee and manage the Urologic Oncology Program in collaboration with the Division Chief and Administrative Director.Clinical Practice:Communicate all clinical activities to supervising physicians.Perform comprehensive histories and physicals, documenting according to institutional standards.Assess patients using physical exams and diagnostic data, considering medical history and treatment progress.Write orders within the scope of state law (medications, excluding chemotherapy, non-pharmacologic therapy, diagnostic tests, etc.).Assist physicians in patient assessment, evaluation, and managementInitiate approved protocols/plans.Monitor and assess patients during and after therapies.Participate in staff meetings and continuing education.Engage in quality improvement initiatives.Obtain insurance authorizations and conduct peer reviews as needed.Educate patients and families about disease states, treatment plans, side effects, medications, and follow-up care.Provide phone triage and follow-up as appropriate.Performs and/or assists in office-based procedures such as catheter changes, urodynamics, video urodynamics, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, pessary changes, and programing of sacral neuromodulation devices.Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.Epic In Basket and Communication Management:Responds to all Epic In Basket messages and tasks wit
