As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aero and/or defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts while delivering a strong customer service experience. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.

Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.

Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, monitoring visitor logs, and observing deliveries and vehicles for compliance with site procedures.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiate notifications as required, and complete accurate security-related reports and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.

Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A valid guard card and/or license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
