Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Riverside, California. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting accounting operations for multiple business entities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in job costing, accounts management, and financial reconciliation, with the ability to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate handling of invoices and payments.

Prepare weekly job costing reports and maintain inventory management systems.

Perform full-cycle accounting tasks, including accruals and reconciliation of financial records.

Utilize QuickBooks Online for day-to-day accounting operations and reporting.

Generate financial statements and reports to support decision-making processes.

Assist with payroll processing, particularly for prevailing wage projects.

Conduct month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve financial discrepancies.

Support audit preparation and maintain adherence to financial policies.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation.

Strong knowledge of job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting methods.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Google Suite products.

Familiarity with payroll processing, including prevailing wage projects.

Background in construction accounting or similar industries is highly preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
