Job Title: 1st Shift Warehouse General Laborer Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Cleaner to join our team at a distribution company that manufactures automotive parts. As a Warehouse Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role includes breaking down boxes, performing janitorial duties, and occasionally assisting with shipping tasks such as order pulling and preparing items for shipment.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of warehouse floors and common areas.

Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.

Break down cardboard boxes and manage recycling.

Assist with pulling orders accurately based on pick lists.

Help pack and prepare shipments for delivery.

Support warehouse team during peak shipping periods.

Comfortably utilize a rolling safety ladder, about 5-7 steps (occasionally up to a 15 ft stair ladder if needed for shipping).

Essential Skills

General labor and cleaning experience.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs when assisting in warehouse.

Must be available to work overtime, including 12-hour shifts.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Basic understanding of shipping processes.

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in warehouse or janitorial work is a plus.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated with the ability to work individually.

Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to forklifts and machines running through the facility. Work hours are Monday through Friday with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Shifts begin at either 5:30 AM or 6:30 AM and end between 2 PM and 3 PM. Flexible scheduling is required. Employees are expected to wear plain shirts, jeans (without holes), and closed-toe shoes, with no logos for beer or alcohol.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
