Job Skills / Requirements

1st Shift Monday-Friday 6am-2pm

Job Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

This is a driving post (must have good MVR).

Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).

Must have computer experience and the ability to use a tablet to conduct security reports.

Must be able to work in a high paced environment and possess the ability to multitask.

Experience with AS400 system preferable.

Must be able to handle walking, standing, bending, light lifting, observing, detailed reporting, multitasking, greeting clients and visitors for long periods of time.

Must be able to read and understand written instructions, complete standard forms, and logs, compose reports that convey complete information in a legible manner.

Ability to work Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at some sites.

Primary Duties:

The Inspection officer will always wear the appropriate PPE, to include steel toed shoes and a reflective vest. At no time will the Inspecting Officer open or enter a tractor or trailer.

The Inspection Officer will report any suspicious activity, or vehicles attempting to enter to the Truck Gate.

The Inspection officer is responsible for handling all C-TPAT inspections, inspect all out-bound trailers to ensure no mass production parts are taken out by mistake, check all contractor vehicles entering to ensure proper badges, plaques, and magnetic logos. Also, they log any rental equipment being brought in or taken out.

The driver will open both rear doors of the trailer and the contents of all outbound trailers are to be visually inspected by the Inspection Officer posted at the Truck Gate to verify all parts have been removed. At no time should the Inspecting Officer enter the trailer. The driver will then close both rear doors of the trailer.

Records detailed Daily Activity Reports, Incident & Maintenance Reports, Parking Violations, Visitor-Truck Log In's, etc.

Check and secure doors, gates, windows, etc.

Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

Must remain alert for the presence of violations and contact the appropriate authority.

Provide escorts when requested.

Must be customer service oriented.

Informs and ensures compliance of SEI and Clients policies, such as smoking, loitering, parking violations, etc.

Always look professional in a clean and pressed uniform.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification Requirements (All)

Alabama Security Regulatory Board License, preferred Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses State Issued Driver's License (Not Expired)
