Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Radiology Assistant, you serve as a vital link in the patient care chain, ensuring that our specialized cardiac units operate seamlessly. You will work in a high-energy environment where your attention to detail in patient preparation and inventory management directly impacts the quality of care our patients receive. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about imaging technology and eager to grow their career within a premier clinical setting. What you will do in this role:

Patient Care and Preparation: You will shave and prep patients for procedures, answer call lights, and provide nourishment or water as needed.

Safe Transportation: You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of patients within the facility.

Inventory and Supply Management: You will maintain and order inventory supplies not included in the POU system, including ordering toner for printers.

Nourishment Oversight: You will assist with ordering patient nourishment supplies and ensure all items are maintained within their expiration dates.

Administrative Support: You will assist the Administrative Assistant with filing and communicate effectively with caregivers to ensure smooth department operations.

Safety and Standards: You will maintain a safe environment within the department while supporting the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

What qualifications you will need:

Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced medical setting, healthcare environment, or imaging department is required.

Certifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills and the ability to complete telemetry competency as directed by the department manager.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, physicians, and vendors.

Professional Drive: A genuine passion for imaging technology and a strong desire to grow professionally within the field.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 150 bed hospital that has provided high-quality health care for over 40 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County and a Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville, featuring Sumner County's only Level II NICU services which hosts spacious LDRP suites and a lactation boutique for inpatient and outpatient services. In addition, our facility is Gold Seal Certified in Total Hip and Total with The Joint Commission.
