Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Senior Administrative Assistant provides vital administrative support to the Swedish Ballard Leadership team and the Ballard hospital campus. This role supports one to two key executives and plays an essential part in ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations.

In this position, you will manage a broad range of administrative responsibilities that require strong judgment, organizational excellence, and a high degree of confidentiality. You will serve as a primary point of contact and liaison, building positive relationships with senior leaders, caregivers, physicians, and external partners. The role requires the ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and operate with minimal supervision.

This position also requires comfort working alone in the office at times, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining professionalism, and providing consistent support even when other team members or leaders are not on site.

You may also provide shared support for fellow administrative team members to ensure consistent service. This position requires on site presence more than 50% of the time.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Secretarial Program or college level coursework and equivalent work experience

3 years of job related experience including responsible administrative work supporting a high level executive in a major organization

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree

Health Care experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Providence Swedish is the largest not-for-profit health care system in the greater Puget Sound area.
