The Georgia Department of Defense is seeking a results focused, customer oriented professional to serve as the Administrative Assistant for the 165th Airlift Wing (AW) CES in Garden City.

General Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and maintain squadron schedules, to include personnel on military duty, leave schedules, pending appointments/meetings/events/schools.

Track and maintain squadron Individual Medical Readiness, to be reported to the command support staff as needed,and will schedule appointments as necessary.

Create military orders and assist with cost estimates for travel, as well as creating travel authorizations and vouchers.

Create and maintain a tracking system for Enlisted Performance Reviews, as well as be the focal point for maintaining, submitting, and tracking EPRs from start to close out in MyPers.

CSS (Command Support Staff) for CES - This job consists of assisting with military side with orders (AROWS) and travel (DTS).

Assist with all hiring (State), drug testing, state benefit and new hire paperwork, and other data calls from State.

IT Support - Maintain inventory property log and provide user support to the CE personnel.

Provide administrative support to the command section, to include uploading documents for storage, preparing documents for review, reviewing documents before submission to the command support staff, and other administrative support as needed.

Collect and distribute squadron mail.

Training & Experience Requirements:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Must be able to operate a computer, calculator, copier, fax, shredder, and video equipment (for classroom set up).

Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to produce products IAW AFH33-337 (i.e., Memorandums for Record, policy letters, etc.).
