Job Description

Position Title: Industrial Mechanic 1

Pay Rate : $28.51/hr

Category/Shift : Hourly Full-Time (1st shift w/ overtime and ability to call-in as necessary)

Physical Location : 2425 Terminal Road, Roseville, MN 55113

The Job You Will Perform:

Safely and efficiently perform maintenance tasks to minimize unscheduled downtime

Assists in troubleshooting/servicing and/or repairing balers, conveyors, shredders, lift trucks, loaders, perform equipment PMs

Assist in welding and fabrication

Assist in brick laying, laying concrete and experience in framing

Assist in the repairs and maintain all dock levelers, scales, railings, tile, basic plumbing and cabinetry

Ensure all maintenance and Company compliance guidelines are followed

Ensure daily reports are accurately completed, submitted and/or inputted as required

Ensure maintenance housekeeping meets plant standards

Participate in safety and environmental audits

Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards

Attend and participate in plant safety meetings

Managing controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage

5S Implementation

Respond to reports of broken or faulty items

Report safety concerns to management

Willingness to work first, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as needed

Willingness to cross train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities

Ability to operate/monitor industrial equipment

Basic computer skills

Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem-solving skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Performing work with a safety-first mindset

Ability to interface with employees, solve problems, and prioritize work

Ability to operate/monitor the following equipment: Welder, Drill Press, Electric power tools (grinder, cordless drill), wrenches, measuring tools, air tools, other maintenance tools and equipment, Baler, In-feed Conveyor, Forklift, Shredder/Shredder Baler, Roll Splitter, Loader. Skid Steer, Gaylord Tipper

The Skills You Will Develop:

Machine specific knowledge

Electrical Training

Support LIFE areas, Safety Leading Indicators and Global Program Elements

Following Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) or Recycling Safety Verification Procedures (RSVPs)
