Description

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Turlock, California. This role is ideal for an accounting detail-oriented individual with over three years of experience who thrives in a dynamic agricultural industry environment. Responsibilities:

Prepare and file corporate tax returns with accuracy and compliance.

Manage sales tax reporting and ensure timely payments.

Record and analyze journal entries to maintain accurate financial data.

Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are appropriately documented.

Conduct regular reviews of financial transactions to identify discrepancies.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper handling of tax-related matters.

Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

Monitor tax regulations and implement updates as required.

Generate financial reports to support decision-making processes.

Requirements - Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.

Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns and managing sales tax.

Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance standards.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
