Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join a well-established non-profit organization in New York, NY. This is a hybrid contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development within the finance sector. The role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and is eager to contribute to the organization's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist with vendor onboarding processes to ensure accurate and efficient handling of Accounts Payable.

Manage corporate credit card transactions, including reconciliation and reporting.

Support the preparation and submission of tax-related forms such as Form 1099 and W-9.

Utilize NetSuite software to maintain accurate financial records and perform accounting functions.

Collaborate on expense management tasks to ensure timely reporting and compliance.

Generate reports and analyze financial data using Microsoft Excel.

Ensure adherence to IRS guidelines and organizational policies in all financial processes.

Participate in regular audits to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial information. Requirements - Familiarity with accounting software systems, such as NetSuite.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and functions.

Experience working with Accounts Payable processes.

Ability to manage and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Understanding of IRS forms, including Form 1099 and W-9.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
