Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Coconut Creek, Florida. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the food and food processing industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

Process incoming payments, including checks, and accurately apply them to customer accounts.

Manage and reconcile accounts receivable records for 50-100 invoices on a regular basis.

Perform commercial collections to resolve outstanding balances and maintain positive customer relationships.

Oversee billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

Monitor daily cash activity and prepare necessary reports.

Communicate with customers to address discrepancies or payment issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations.

Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing purposes.

Provide support for month-end and year-end closing processes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable functions, including cash applications and billing.

Strong knowledge of commercial collections processes.

Familiarity with managing high volumes of invoices efficiently.

Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

Ability to analyze and reconcile account discrepancies.

Experience in the food and food processing industry is a plus.
