Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY : Represents the company to its customers for the purpose of selling equipment and other company services. Maintains profit goals of the company while providing valuable customer service and satisfaction to all customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Contact customers and sell the company's products and service.

Submit daily call reports, lost sales reports, etc. on a timely basis.

Maintain sales department vehicles and office equipment.

Assure all documents associated with sales of whole goods and attachments are properly and totally completed electronically.

Update yourself daily on changes to manufacturers terms, discounts, and special programs, sales, deliveries, valuations, and new equipment arrival.

Attend any company, store and community functions that will benefit the dealership; visit with the customers.

Insure that new machines and machines going out on a demonstration are clean and in ready to go condition; that follow-up service is conducted as required and in line with factory benefits.

Keep current on product knowledge and benefits of specific machines.

Keep abreast of competitive activity and competitive products.

Have a good knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate for trading purposes.

Perform field demonstrations of equipment to prospective customers.

Maintain all manuals, price lists, and other documents given by the dealership in a professional and current condition at all times.

Have a working knowledge of all factory finance plans.

Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned; cooperate with other departments of the dealership.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products, services and support of all staff.

Resolve customers concerns efficiently and effectively.

Promote a positive attitude at all times.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Exhibit Birkey's high level of customer service on a daily basis.

Acknowledge appreciation of clients and customer.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Individual should have an associates or its equivalent. Should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carry-out oral and written directions. Individual must have the ability to maintain a high degree of motivation in team members to retain the focus of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The individual should have 2 4 years of related experience, steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.

Ability to get around the assigned territory, the dealership and grounds for various tasks.

The employee would normally lift or move 10 lbs., frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lifts or move up to 75 lbs.

Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.

Ability to be on ones feet for extended periods of time.

Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.

Ability to drive to a customer site. Must meet health assessment requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

The employee is generally required to stand for long periods of time.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing duties, the employee may be near moving mechanical parts and inside and outside weather conditions.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee will perform extensive keystroke tasks.

This position offers a competitive compensation along with a benefits package commensurate with relevant experience, qualifications, and market standards.

Wage Salary Range - $50,000 - $150,000 Base + Commission/year
