Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Shift: First Shift

Pay: Up to $38 hour based on experience

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing problems and providing extensive troubleshooting. You will repair and troubleshoot VFDs, PLCs, test motors with associated controls, and diagnose protective devices such as breakers, fuses, and overloads. Experience with instrumentation or the ability to learn these systems is essential.

Responsibilities

Fill out and review work permits in conjunction with operation personnel prior to starting a job.

Ensure all lockout-tagout procedures are followed.

Locate equipment problems and discuss potential causes.

Recommend practical solutions for technical problems.

Diagnose problems and repair VFDs, PLCs, motors with associated controls, protective devices, breakers, fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers, switches, and metrology.

Repair damages and defects to equipment as per technical instructions and discuss with the team.

Consult additional technical information such as drawings and manuals if necessary.

Perform planned preventive and predictive maintenance tasks within the schedule.

Essential Skills

Must have 3+ years experience working in a industrial / manufacturing environment

Experience with Industrial Electrical 480v and up

Proficiency in PLCs and VFDs

Experience with Automated Systems

Troubleshooting, wiring, and repair skills

Preventive maintenance knowledge

High voltage electrical troubleshooting

Understanding of schematics, motor controls, and sensors

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florham Park, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $83200.00/yr.
