Senior Accountant $100,000-$130,000. base salary (depending on experience) Greater Phoenix, AZ (hybrid schedule - 4 days on-site) Vaco has partnered with a prestigious company in the banking industry to hire a Senior Accountant. This role offers strong exposure to SEC and regulatory reporting while working closely with financial reporting leadership on high-impact initiatives. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, supporting close activities, and maintaining compliance in a highly regulated environment. Responsibilities include:

Prepare SEC and regulatory reporting schedules in coordination with financial reporting leadership
Record journal entries, accruals, and perform transaction-level accounting analysis
Conduct accounting research and support special and ad hoc projects
Partner with accounting teams to support reporting initiatives and close activities
Ensure compliance with SOX, internal policies, and banking regulations

Requirements:

CPA required
2+ years of public accounting experience required
