Internal Medicine physician job in Massachusetts : Internal Medicine Physician Post-Acute Care Full-Time Worcester, Massachusetts We are seeking a full-time Internal Medicine physician (MD or DO) to join our team and provide high-quality care in post-acute care settings throughout Worcester, MA. This position offers a manageable patient census, strong interdisciplinary support, and uncapped earning potential. Position Overview The physician will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and cost-conscious care to patients in post-acute care communities. This role includes inpatient rounding across multiple care settings and close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes and smooth care transitions. Patient volume: 1520 patients per day Employment type: Full-time Compensation model: Fee-for-service (FFS) Estimated annual compensation: $252,000 $302,000, with no cap on productivity income Benefits eligible full-time role Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in post-acute care communities Perform inpatient rounding in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, and long-term care hospitals Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams while adhering to CMS and Medicare guidelines Coordinate care transitions with hospice, palliative care, and home care agencies Ensure timely, accurate documentation and billing using the Gehrimed EMR system Qualifications MD or DO Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active medical license in the state Strong clinical judgment and commitment to quality patient care Experienced candidates welcome; training available Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
