Job Description: Ophthalmologist

Location: 1 hour and 20 minutes east of Raleigh, NC

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to join our established healthcare team located conveniently 1 hour and 20 minutes east of Raleigh, NC. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional eye care services to a diverse patient population in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat various ocular conditions, diseases, and injuries.
Perform surgical procedures including cataract surgery, LASIK, and other specialized interventions as needed.
Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as appropriate.
Educate patients on eye health, conditions, and treatment options.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Requirements:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of residency training in Ophthalmology.
Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
Valid state medical license (or eligibility) to practice in North Carolina.
Excellent clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
