Job Title: Assembler - 1st Shift Job Description

This role is integral to the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily within a cleanroom environment. Responsibilities include the formulation of polymers and spray coating materials, production using a microscope, and operating various equipment and machinery. The role demands strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Responsibilities

Operate machinery to produce medical devices to meet specifications.

Follow manufacturing instructions and update job documentation accurately for traceability.

Prepare and pack products for sterilization.

Inspect products using a microscope.

Set up coating machines and conduct coating, inspection, and folding of balloon catheters.

Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations and conduct formulation testing.

Package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.

Identify and replenish supplies as needed.

Build components for top-level work orders.

Complete necessary cleaning activities.

Essential Skills

1+ year of experience in medical device manufacturing, ideally with microscope use.

Proficiency in English at a medium level.

Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Comfortable working with chemicals.

Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent education.

Experience in an aseptic or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a cleanroom environment with the expectation of standing throughout the shift. The work schedule includes two 30-minute breaks, one of which is off the clock. Employees will work with various equipment and technologies essential for medical device production.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA 92618.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
