As a Security Officer - Medical Campus Patrol in Ontario, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access points, support staff and visitors through professional communication, and document observations and concerns. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned healthcare areas, including corridors, lobbies, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.

Control access at designated entry points by monitoring doors, checking authorization when required, and directing visitors to the proper check-in or waiting areas.

Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned, and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious persons, medical support requests, and patient/visitor concerns, and coordinate with on-site staff and/or public responders as needed.

Complete security-related reports and incident documentation with clear, timely details, and communicate updates to supervisors and location leadership.

Assist with de-escalation and customer service interventions when conflicts arise, using a respectful, professional approach.

Support emergency preparedness activities such as evacuations, severe weather response, and fire alarm response according to location procedures.

Perform routine checks of doors, lighting, stairwells, and common areas, and report hazards or damage through the appropriate channels.

Follow all location rules related to privacy and confidentiality while performing patrols, monitoring activity, and interacting with patients and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
