Description

A well-established professional services firm in Encinitas is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage daily accounting activities and ensure accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, maintaining organized systems, and supporting leadership with timely financial information. You will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping functions that keep the business financially healthy and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Record and maintain daily financial transactions

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis

Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of entries

Assist with invoicing, collections, and vendor payments

Prepare basic financial reports for management review

Support payroll coordination and expense tracking

Maintain organized financial records for audits and tax preparation

Requirements

2-4 years of bookkeeping experience

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)

Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for tracking and reconciliation

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
