Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR)

The Drzewiecki Agency, LLC are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our insurance agency. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, assisting clients with policy-related inquiries, and supporting licensed agents with administrative and service tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, can multi-task in a fast paced environment and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions

Assist clients with policy inquiries, billing questions, ID cards, certificates, and basic coverage explanations (non-sales)

Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals under the direction of licensed agents

Maintain accurate client records in agency management systems

Collect and verify client information and documentation

Follow up with clients regarding missing information or service requests

Support licensed agents with administrative and clerical tasks

Ensure compliance with Michigan insurance regulations and agency procedures

Escalate sales, coverage recommendations, and binding requests to licensed agents

Licensing & Compliance

This position is unlicensed and does not involve selling, soliciting, or binding insurance

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Previous customer service or office experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Proficiency with computers and basic office software

Ability to learn insurance products, systems, and procedures

Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills

Experience in insurance, banking, or financial services

Familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., Applied, AMS, Hawksoft)

In Office - Gaylord, MI

Starting pay is $17.50/hour
