SUMMARY:

Responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to guests at the restaurant. Assists servers in maintaining a clean environment for restaurant guests throughout the dining experience.

Responsible for setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests tables rapidly and accurately

Assist the wait staff with table setting by selecting and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins

Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards

Check in with guests and take additional orders or refill water, as needed

Remove dirty dishes and utensils

Answer guests questions about ingredients and menu items

Inform restaurant staff about guests feedback or requests

Assists kitchen staff in cleaning the dining rooms and kitchen at the end of service

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

One-year previous runner/busser experience in a restaurant environment preferred. Willing to train. Highschool students welcomed.

Requirements and skills

Must have active Food Handlers/Safe Serve Certificate

Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules

Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours

Multi-tasking abilities

Good oral communication skills

Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment

Ability to work as part of a team
