Job Title: Controller

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to manage and oversee financial operations. This role involves handling month-end close, budget management, financial analysis, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation of complete, accurate, and timely financial statements.

Monitor the financial performance of the company.

Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.

Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual operating budgets.

Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.

Communicate financial metrics to management.

Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and legal requirements.

Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with potential for night and weekend work as necessary.

Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, financial reporting, financial statement preparation, and month-end processes.

Experience with journal entries.

5-10 years of true accounting experience specific to financial reporting and general ledger.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

CPA is preferred but not required.

Experience with acquisitions and integrations.

Manufacturing experience is necessary.

NetSuite experience is preferred, but experience with any ERP system is acceptable.

Interest in gaining experience in the private equity space is advantageous.

Desire to learn and grow professionally, rather than remaining in the same role long-term.

Work Environment

The position requires working onsite mostly, with the possibility of some hybrid flexibility once settled into the role. This offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience and exposure in the private equity space.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Independence, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
