Summary
The Global Financial Systems and Solutions (GFSS) team oversees Expeditors' complex accounting applications and partners closely with business stakeholders and Global Technology to support the ongoing modernization of Expeditors information systems. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to step into the Finance Systems Change Manager ('The Change Manager') role. The Change Manager owns the end-to-end delivery of accounting system enhancements-coordinating readiness, communications, deployment, adoption, and stabilization. They translate technical updates into user-friendly guidance, partnering with other members of GFSS to deliver training, and support adoption of changes. This role partners with other members of GFSS to ensure smooth transition from systems release to maintaining and supporting the business users of the applications. This role collaborates closely with Financial Controls and Compliance (FCC) team to ensure adequate internal controls are in place to address the risks relating to the changes. The position also contributes to access governance and compliance by supporting user access reviews and maintaining structured, audit-ready permission guidance. Through effective communication, documentation excellence, and a structured approach to change, this role ensures system improvements deliver value while maintaining compliance and user confidence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the accounting and finance teams on the lifecycle of enhancements: intake, scoping, prioritization, timeline coordination, dependency tracking, and delivery execution.
Lead release readiness activities, including scheduling, stakeholder coordination, communication planning, deployment verification, and rollback awareness.
Partner with other members of GFSS to design and deliver training supporting new functionality deployments, including live sessions, job aids, and reference materials.
Collaborate with other members of GFSS to ensure smooth transition from systems release to maintaining and supporting the business users of the applications.
Collaborate with the FCC team to ensure adequate internal controls are in place to address the risks relating to the systems enhancements.
Leading deployment communications, monitor early-stage adoption, document known issues/workarounds, and coordinate hyper care activities to support stabilization.
Maintain structured business-side change tools such as release calendars, communication templates, readiness checklists, and decision/risk logs.
Create and maintain user-centered accounting system documentation, including functional overviews, process guides, how-to materials, and end-user manuals.
Develop clear, accessible release notes that translate technical changes into user impacts, required actions, and links to updated guidance.
Serve as owner of the team's SharePoint site, ensuring it remains the authoritative source of truth for release notes, documentation, training materials, FAQs, and support resources.
Enhance enablement materials based on user questions, support trends, and feedback to reduce recurring support needs.
Support user access reviews and role attestations by coordinating reviewer assignments, collecting evidence, tracking issues, and ensuring exceptions follow published guidance.
Maintain clear role and permission guidance describing access capabilities, risks, and approval expectations.
Assist stakeholders in ensuring system changes and access-related processes meet compliance, auditability, and documentation standards.
Ad-hoc projects and other duties as applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information systems, accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance systems, change management, or related technology-enabled transformation roles.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Global Technology and business stakeholders.
Experience coordinating system changes or releases, including readiness planning, communication across stakeholders, and post-release stabilization.
Experience performing risk assessments and evaluating internal controls relevant to financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of accounting processes, user access management, and control-oriented environments.
Experience supporting access reviews, role attestations, or permission governance programs.
Experience managing structured knowledge repositories (e.g., SharePoint) using standardized templates and taxonomies.
Familiarity with change management frameworks or methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ITIL) is a plus.

Compensation
Expected Base Salary Range: $100,000 per year.
This position is eligible for a bonus, based on company performance. At Expeditors, all executives and certain leadership roles receive a base salary of $100,000. The bonus is designed to align total compensation with market standards, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.

Job Location
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the greater Seattle, WA area.
