The Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain for the MCR Safety Group manages all aspects of the organization's manufacturing and supply chain functions through strategy, long range planning, continuous improvement to drive continued success and support annual growth. This position will report into the leader of the MCR Safety Group and be a key member of the executive leadership team.
The idea candidate has experience managing a raw and finished good supply chain on a global level along with having successfully led large or multiple mid-sized manufacturing plants with a track record of improving output, delivery, quality, cost and plant safety. Ideally position based in Memphis, but open to anywhere in North America near an international airport. Fluent in English and Spanish is required.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute MCRSG's manufacturing and supply chain strategies, ensuring that strategy is aligned to the corporate strategy and optimizes total cost, quality, sustainability, safety and compliance across all models, end to end.
Oversee manufacturing and supply chain operations to ensure solutions that deliver cost effective product supply, high-quality standards, and on time delivery.
Integrate operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control into all manufacturing processes.
Research and adopt process designs, technologies, and methods that improve operational efficiency or manufacturing quality.
Oversight of the continuous improvement and EHS strategy with focus on implementation and compliance.
Identify gaps to budget and strategic plan to the relevant demand plan owners and lead cross functional teams to drive gap closure and deliver on volume, revenue, and margin commitments.
Provide direction and guidance to operational leadership on manufacturing and supply chain processes, driving customer satisfaction, and delivering value through consistent delivery execution.
Manage and own relationships with outside vendors.
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
Design and implement continuous improvement programs and methodologies for operational efficiency.
Ensure process improvements adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards.
Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively for process improvement projects.
Be an agent for change, demonstrate the ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment
Collaborate with the MCR Safey Group Leadership team, effectively defining the strategy for manufacturing and supply chain while partnering with the region commercial and distribution leaders to ensure timely and cost-effective products are delivered to both delight and exceed our customers' needs
Facilitate leadership development within team, identify and foster future leaders to support business succession plans.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required; MBA is preferred
Minimum of 15 years of manufacturing and supply chain leadership experience with a proven track record of transformation and excelling in competitive, fast-paced environment.
Significant experience successfully managing and owning challenging business cycles, building yearly plans for business and delivering on revenue, margin, and cost targets on a consistent basis
Strong knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, supply chain best practices and environmental health and safety principles, including inventory management, supply planning, procurement, negotiations, and lean manufacturing.
Ability to communicate at an executive level with executive leadership and stakeholders through interpersonal skills and presentations
Excellent knowledge on project management and negotiation tactics
Demonstrated tenacity and urgency in driving business results
Executive leadership skills with the ability to articulate ideas, delegate, direct, motivate and educate staff
Ability to make tough decisions quickly and mentor teams to effectively achieve targets
Excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new applications
Flexibility to frequently travel throughout North America and internationally on occasion.
Travel will be required
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
