Level 1 - Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate, timely, in the correct manner (i.e. verbal, written, email, etc.)

Senior / Lead - Highly experienced in the position. Advanced awareness of department administrative processes, organization and needs. This person is a "go to" source for others and has a thorough awareness of our customer base, our commitments to them, and the skill sets of our employees.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The A/R Specialist's primary role is to ensure payments received from customers for projects or repair work are recorded accurately and timely.
Review, research, process and post payments received to correct customer accounts
Assist the Project Accounting and Service Team with Collections while providing an exceptional customer experience
Research and manage un-applied payments
Perform customer account reconciliations
Create New Customer accounts and Prepare customer statements
Process Customer Refunds
Manage Bad Debt
Interface with 3rd Party Collection Company
Customer Credit Management
Provide support for internal and external audits
Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements

Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
AA or BA in Accounting or related degree preferred OR minimum 4 years of construction accounting experience.
Proficiency with Windows applications, primarily Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent organization skills, accuracy, dependable work habits and good communication skills.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Ability to plan work and sequence priorities.
Ability to be flexible and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Ability to speak articulately one-on-one or to small groups.
Ability to compose articulate and grammatically correct written communication.
Ability to perform under difficult conditions, such as simultaneous deadlines.
Ability to handle conflict.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with lien law and construction collections.
Knowledge in construction billing practices. (Retention, OCCIP, CCIP, change orders, etc.)
Experience handling customers' refunds and unapplied cash.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
Experience managing bad debt
Essential Job Functions:
Be able to lift and carry, drawings, personal computers, material, and spend significant time sitting etc.
Be able to lift up to 30lbs.
Be able to spend significant time standing and walking.
Be able to climb flights of stairs throughout a typical day.
Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec's vehicle policy, if driving a company vehicle or participating in an auto allowance program.
