Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and customer account inquiries. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, manual processing environment and possess strong problem-solving skills.

MUST HAVE QUALFICATIONS

2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or billing

Experience in an accounting software (Sage preferred but not required)

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to work well within a team environment.

Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review and audit all orders for daily accounts receivable billing.

Research customer accounts for necessary rebills and adjustments.

Review and post credit memos.

Process all daily check and credit card payments.

Make light collection calls and emails for past-due accounts.

Support the Customer Service Department with customer account inquiries.

Provide backup data entry for the Accounts Payable Coordinator as needed.

Post credit card and wire payments bi-weekly.

Work Environment

The position is fully onsite, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including an unpaid half-hour lunch break. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.25/hr.
