Medical Front Office Floater

Specialty Healthcare Practice | Chattanooga, TN & Surrounding Areas

Are you a calm, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys variety in your day? A respected specialty healthcare practice with a primary office in Chattanooga and three satellite locations is seeking a Medical Front Office Floater to join their growing team.

This is a dynamic, long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys being a go-to team player, learning multiple departments, and making a meaningful difference in patient experience.

What You'll Do

Initially, you'll be based primarily at the main Chattanooga office, supporting a high-volume front desk while delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

Warmly welcoming patients and managing check-in and check-out

Verifying insurance, collecting copays, and ensuring accurate documentation

Scheduling appointments and managing calendars efficiently

Answering and triaging phones as needed

Prioritizing tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment while maintaining accuracy

Interacting with patients in a positive, calm, and reassuring manner

Once fully trained, you'll:

Float to satellite offices to provide coverage for vacations or call-outs

Cross-train in the call center and physician dispatch departments

Serve as a versatile support resource across multiple teams

What We're Looking For

Prior experience in a medical front office or healthcare administrative role

Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a high-volume setting

A flexible, adaptable mindset-you're comfortable with change and variety

Excellent communication skills with a patient-first approach

Dependability and professionalism-you're someone the team can count on

Schedule & Availability

Availability between 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM, depending on office coverage needs

8-hour shifts only (no extended workdays)

Some travel to nearby satellite offices required

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office environment, including familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Proficiency in medical software such as Medisoft and Microsoft Excel.

Solid knowledge of insurance processes and patient-related tasks such as check-in and scheduling.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

Dependable and punctual, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
