We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for unit operations and staff performance. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and accountability for unit operations and staff performance around the clock.
Support nursing leadership in developing strategic goals aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Communicate objectives clearly and build consensus to guide the team toward achieving departmental goals.
Foster a healing environment that promotes patient and family-centered care.

Manage the unit's budget, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective actions for variances.
Track and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure adherence to established care delivery models and professional practice standards.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies.
Demonstrate current clinical knowledge relevant to the patient population served.
Stay informed on healthcare legislation, standards of practice, and population health trends.
Identify and lead initiatives to improve operations using evidence-based strategies.
Perform related duties as required to support unit and organizational objectives.
Essential Skills
Active Registered Nurse license in New York State.
6-8 years of General Operating Room/Abdominal Transplant/Robotics nursing experience.
2-5 years in a leadership or management role.
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
CNOR certification preferred.
Relevant specialty certifications as applicable.
Experience working in a non-union based position.
Cardiac surgery, thoracic transplant, and robotics experience.
Work Environment
The position is located at a state-of-the-art facility in the new Petrocelli Surgical Pavilion, which opened in 2024. Oversee a team of 20-25 employees, including 2 Assistant Nurse Managers, nurses, surgical techs, anesthesia techs, and peri-operative assistants. The hospital boasts 800+ beds and 48 operating rooms, and is recognized as one of the top hospitals in the region. Enjoy a 4-day work week with no set days, working 10-hour shifts. Leadership needs to be on call 24/7. Located less than 2 miles from Queens, with easy access to NYC and surrounding attractions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
