About Us: Contech Engineered Solutions needs a 3D Modeling & Printing Intern - Infrastructure to join our Cincinnati, Ohio team. This Intern will work closely with the design team who act in a consultative role. The intern will proactively support the 3D Printing/Modeling Animation team to provide models (Printed and/or Digital) for marketing and to build civil engineering client relationships and meet the commercial objectives of the company. About the Role: Produce product models to the field marketing team for demonstrations to civil engineering clients. Provide quality designed and scaled 3D models. Establish a rapport and work effectively with internal members from all infrastructure teams to achieve their goals. Respond to marketing requests in a timely manner. Good communication is required with immediate team members. Manage and track projects in the 3d printing queue while monitoring the quality of active 3d prints. Maintain the list of 3D printing scales and print slicer requirements. Import model STL's into the appropriate 3D Slicer (Creality/Bamboo/Cure/Orca). Troubleshoot and maintain 3D Printing equipment. Interact with a laser etch machine and cut base plates using appropriate equipment. Assemble modular 3D printed models. Qualifications: Recent graduate or final-year student in 3D Design, Animation, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field. Open to long-term internship (e.g., 6-12 months). 3D Printing and CAD modeling in Fusion preferred. Ability to prepare and understand basic engineering drawings. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to get the job done in a highly interactive process. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Fusion, Inventor, Model slicers listed above, basic AutoCAD). Ready to Apply? The process is simple.
