The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking an Imaging Specialist for the Office Services Records Section in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This position is responsible for converting paper documents related to WYDOT records into electronic images using various @types of highly specialized document management and preservation equipment, making the information accessible to users and the general public in digital form.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
Enters large amounts of data into a records management system in various formats (i.e., manually, electronically, etc.).
Using a records information management system prepares information for customers in various formats.
Runs reports from the system.
Prepares records for entry into the system, including removing staples, paper clips, repairing tears, cleaning documents, etc.
Performs routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoots minor equipment problems.
Scans documents and reviews quality to ensure accuracy, clarity, and legibility.
Uploads to applicable drive, folder, and/or database, ensuring documents are placed and named efficiently for optimal retrieval.
Ensures data is collected, compiled, and verified to produce a quality end-product to be viewed for future use.
Gathers, manages, examines, establishes, analyzes, records, and maintains information in some records or data management systems.
Verifies the legitimacy of requests for information, ensuring that nothing confidential may be used for fraudulent purposes.
Drafts correspondence and may provide customer service.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of basic data entry.
Knowledge of basic computer usage with regard to MS Word, processing/spreadsheets/and database applications and hardware.
Knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
Knowledge of principles of data processing using a variety of reporting and database systems in information technology conceptual terms.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience in (typically in Records and Data Management)
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
1-3 years of progressive work experience in (typically in Records and Data Management)

May be required to lift at least 50 pounds.

**Qualifying eligibility and criteria for the hiring bonus
Temporary employees accepting a full-time permanent position.
Current employees accepting a promotional opportunity - recruitment must have been opened to the public.
One year of service to WYDOT must be completed; failure to complete this requirement will forfeit the hiring incentive; funds will be recouped from final pay.
Internal candidates would be required to remain in the position for a minimum of one (1) year from their promotion date.
Employees would only be eligible for one (1) hiring bonus in a 12-month period.
If the employee elects to downgrade through active recruitment and/or appointment during the twelve (12) month period, they would be required to pay the bonus back.
