Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description
As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform routine maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, systems, buildings, and facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring all equipment is maintained according to schedule and production runs smoothly with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical preventative maintenance on all equipment according to schedule.
Inspect machinery, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair to keep production running and reduce downtime.
Effectively troubleshoot all mechanical equipment, take corrective action, and repair, replace or rebuild parts as needed.
Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and sketches, making all necessary measurements and calculations to complete the job.
Complete work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, and material usage records.
Perform clerical duties as necessary to maintain proper records.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and maintenance repair.
Experience with mechanical maintenance, including preventative measures.
Knowledge in mechanical troubleshooting and repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years for a B Mechanic or 5+ years for an A Mechanic in Industrial Maintenance.
Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery, ovens, and mobile equipment.
Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, gear boxes, bearings, and power transmission.
Prefer some fabrication skills, with the ability to use a mill and lathe.
Welding skills are a plus.
Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
Experience with machine safety, guarding, hot work, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Work Environment
You will work in a manufacturing environment with a shift from Monday to Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM. The environment is not climate-controlled, can be hot or humid, and may include wet, dusty, and uneven surfaces. Expect high noise levels, vibration, and fumes. Safety is a priority; therefore, PPE such as steel toes, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, and head protection in certain areas is required.
