Robert Half is looking for a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our client in NE Iowa. In this role, you will focus on analyzing, managing, and improving cost-related processes within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate cost reporting and efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed cost analyses to evaluate production expenses and identify areas for cost savings.

Develop and maintain standard cost systems to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.

Monitor manufacturing costs and provide insights to support decision-making and operational improvements.

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing cost trends and projections for management review.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline cost accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.

Analyze variances between actual and standard costs, providing actionable recommendations.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities by delivering precise cost-related data.

Train and guide team members on cost accounting principles and best practices.

Requirements - Proven experience in cost accounting, particularly within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting practices and principles.

Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex financial data.

Familiarity with cost analysis techniques and tools.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Proficient in relevant accounting software and systems.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
