Job Title: 3rd Shift General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to take a lead position for the 3rd shift, providing problem-solving capabilities and ensuring team accountability. The ideal candidate will manage daily expectations independently without needing to consult the operations manager.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery used to process, grind, dry, and package corncob materials.

Handle raw corncob inputs stored indoors for cleanliness and moisture control.

Follow established procedures to produce consistent, high-quality outputs for multiple industries.

Conduct routine inspections of materials to ensure they are free from contaminants, mold, or moisture.

Assist in the company's rigorous testing and quality-assurance processes.

Document quality checks and report variations or equipment issues.

Set up, operate, and clean production equipment safely.

Perform basic preventive maintenance and alert supervisors to mechanical problems.

Adhere to all workplace safety regulations, PPE usage, and material-handling standards.

Maintain a clean and orderly production environment.

Work collaboratively with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

Support loading for in-house trucking when needed to meet delivery timelines.

Work Environment

This role involves working on the 3rd shift from 11pm-7am, with the option to work 40-60 hours and weekends available for extra hours. The environment is industrial and hands-on, requiring physical labor, machinery operation, and logistics. The team size is approximately 7, fostering close working relationships in a small team setting with around 45 employees at the Rock Falls location.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
