Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Type: Contract

Compensation: $17 - $19 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch, no overtime)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Administrative Assistant to support the front desk at one of our top clients! This role is a temporary assignment covering a medical leave and is critical as the first point of contact for the office. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and comfortable managing a high volume of phone calls and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the front desk receptionist, greeting visitors and directing foot traffic

Handle heavy inbound phone calls and route calls appropriately

Receive and manage incoming packages and deliveries (UPS, FedEx, etc.)

Maintain a professional and welcoming office environment

Provide general administrative support as needed

Qualifications

Prior administrative or front desk experience preferred

Comfortable managing high call volume and multitasking

Professional demeanor and strong communication skills

Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Business casual attire required; role represents the face of the office

Fully onsite role based in Baton Rouge

No overtime required
