Per Diem Physical Therapists

What will I do as a Physical Therapist for The Wesley Community?

Our Physical Therapists work closely with our in-patient long term care residents and short term rehab patients to restore activities of daily living. A few of the most common duties and responsibilities required of Physical Therapists with us include:

Evaluate resident's conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans

Relieve resident's pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching

Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance

Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants

Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping confidential information

Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort

Physical Therapist Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program

Current New York State Physical Therapist (PT) License

Experience in Subacute and/or Long Term care a plus, but not required
