Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to managing vendor relationships on a global scale while ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate records, analyzing complex data, and collaborating with teams across different regions.

A/P Responsibilities:

Assign and manage vendor numbers in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Oversee the Vendor Master File, ensuring timely and accurate updates.

Analyze daily vendor change reports and confirm modifications within global systems.

Communicate effectively with internal departments and international offices to resolve inquiries.

Review invoices for accuracy and compliance before processing.

Investigate and input detailed data for complex invoices.

Support the preparation of monthly Debit Balance reports and vendor files for tax documentation.

Address discrepancies related to regulatory compliance, including B-Notices and tax issues.

Validate vendor records with appropriate regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to tax requirements.

Reconcile vendor statements and provide backup for team members as needed.

Requirements

Accounts Payable Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and reconciliation.

Proficient in financial software such as Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of vendor risk management and fraud prevention.

Ability to perform accurate data entry and handle complex invoice processing.

Familiarity with tax documentation and regulatory compliance.

Skilled in conducting 3-way matching and bank reconciliations.

Effective communication and collaboration skills across internal and international teams.

Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
